First Time

October 27, 2006 at 2:14 am (Film)

Note:

Dapat last Sunday pa ang blog na ito pero dahil sa mga hindi inaasahang pangyayari, ngayon ko lang ito ipo-post.

Title: First Time

Category: Film

Weird but true, ‘twas my first time to watch a movie at Gateway mall. At nakakatawa kasi “Til I Met U” ang movie. In fairness, libre naman (thanks Tita Lia) kaya sulitin na natin ang movie experience. Spacious ang seats at ang isle. Comfy din ang seats kahit hindi platinum ang cinema. The ac isn’t that cold, just right for snuggling (naks!). Anyways, the movie is very predictable, like “The Lakehouse”— they’ll give you kilig moments, frustrate you at some point but resolve it just like any other feel good movie/ mushy Hollywood movie. I’m not really a pro in terms of the technical aspect of movie making, but having taken AV Comm in college (I miss the PHI moments), I can say that hindi maganda ang pagkaka-edit. There. Saving grace nalang yung OST. But that doesn’t excuse them for coming up with a better output next time. The happy part about watching a Filipino film in an upscale cinema is that the jologs crowd is filtered, but there will always be the jologs factor in each Pinoy film moviegoer’s heart. Like my seatmate—grabe mag-side comments, to the point na nagpe-predict na siya ng susunod na mangyayari. Tapos yung iabng tao na hindi natuwa sa last part, nagwalk-out sabay sabing

“Ang pangit!”

Nag-roll na kasi yung end credits eh me pahabol pa pala. Ang ending, the “early out people” watched the real last part unfold their very eyes while standing up. My favorite part of the movie? The kissing scene (hmmm….).

At the end of the day, or the film showing (the next batch will be waiting for the last full show, kasi bawal ulitin),we can’t help but smile. Masaya. Php 140 in exchange of almost two hours of instant happiness and shared experience with the masses.

As for my past week, let’s just say I had a fun week. Our pc’s okay (thanks TJ!) and thinking about my moments, I couldn’t help but smile. And cringe. And smile some more.

watching "the lake house" made me realize the following:

1. patience is a virtue.therefore, wait. if keanu reeves and sandra bullock, separated by 2 years made it, the possibilities are endless.
